NEET Exam Syllabus 2018, NEET Exam Pattern 2018

NEET Syllabus 2018: Applicants who are preparing for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), scheduled to be conducted first Sunday of May. You can check detailed syllabus of NEET 2018 below. The exam panel of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released NEET 2018 Syllabus for applicants who want to prepare for the NEET Exam. The NEET syllabus 2018 is prepared after reviewing syllabus of various state boards as well as those prepared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council Board of School Education (COBSE) and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). NEET 2018 syllabus has been made after the recommendations from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and is strictly based on topics, chapters and subjects taught during 11th, 12th/HSC level.
NEET 2018 will be conducted in a pen and paper based model. As per the exam pattern of NEET, the question booklet will contain 180 multiple choice questions in 3 hours time duration from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Each correct response candidates will get 4 marks, whereas -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

NEET Class XI Syllabus

Physics syllabus: (45 questions)

Physical world and measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Thermodynamics, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves.

Chemistry syllabus: (45 questions)

Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, s-Block Element (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals), Some p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry-Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry.

Biology syllabus: (Botany 45 questions + Zoology 45 questions = 90 questions)

Diversity in Living World, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human physiology.

Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices.

Chemistry syllabus:

Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, d and f Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life.

NEET Exam Pattern 2018

 The question booklet of NEET 2018 will contain 180 multiple choice questions. There will be a total of 45 questions each from Physics and Chemistry, while Botany and Zoology section will contain 90 questions. NEET 2018 will be conducted in a pen and paper based format. 
Marking Scheme: +4 and -1
For each correct response, applicants will get 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a single medical entrance examination in the country for providing admissions to approximately 52, 305 MBBS and BDS seats in government, private and deemed medical universities. This year, NEET 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on first week of May.

NEET 2017 Answer Key Declaration Date

NEET answer ke) has been declared after 2-3 hours of the NEET exam by many coaching institutes. Applicants can check the answer key from various coaching institutes like Aakash, Resonance, Allen Kota, Career Point. The official NEET answer key will be released by CBSE in the 4th week of May and the OMR sheet will be displayed in the 4th week of May.

How to Challenge Answer Key

With the display of answer key, the CBSE Board will give a chance to challenge the answer key. Applicants who are not satisfied with the answer key can challenge against the answer key on the payment of Rs. 1000/- per answer. The fee will be refunded in case of challenge accepted by the board. Remember that the challenge will not be accepted after the due date. The steps for answer key challange is shown below.
NEET Answer Key Challenge – Step by Step Procedure
Go to Applicants Login and enter NEET 2017 Registration number and Password
Now click on ‘Answer Key Challenge’ tab and select answer booklet code
Select the question for challenge and then click on submit button
Select your answer and give comments/justifications for answer
Click on ‘Confirm’ tab and pay requisite fee for challenging the answer key
Pay the fee using Debit/Credit Card. Applicants have to pay Rs. 1000 for each answer key that is challenged.
Now you can take the printout of Confirmation Slip showing detail of answer key challenged

NEET 2017 Cut Off

NEET 2017 cut off marks is the minimum score that a applicants must secure in order to qualify the NEET exam. The minimum qualifying score in NEET 2016 for general applicants is 50 percentile and 40 percentile for OBC category. The table given below shows the NEET category wise passing marks for the previous year.  The NEET 2017 qualify marks will be updated as soon as it will be released.

NEET 2017 Result

CBSE will declare NEET 2017 result on 8th June 2017. Applicants can evaluate their marks before result announcement with the help of answer key. In order to check the result, students will be required to provide their roll number and Date of Birth. Result will indicate candidate’s All India rank, state rank and category rank. Also, candidates can know their qualifying status of examination through cut-off that will be released on the same day of result announcement.

NEET Result, NEET UG Cutoff, Merit list at cbseresults.nic.in

NEET 2017 Result : NEET UG Result 2017 will be announced by Central Board of Secondary Education in month of June. All seats of MBBS, BDS any Medical / Dental colleges will be filed by the score of NEET exam  only. Applicants  who are appeared in the NEET Exam 2017 they can download their NEET result 2017 by entering their Roll Number and Date of Birth from the official website.

NEET UG Result 

The NEET Exam 2017 conducted by the CBSE , Delhi on the 2nd week of May 2017 at different exam centers across the India. A large number of applicants will appear to take admission in MBBS/BDS Medical courses.

NEET 2017 Score and Merit list  

NEET Exam 2017 authority declares the All India merit list based on the scores obtained by the applicants on Paper-Pen Based (offline) National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Exam 2017 Offline wiil be held on May, 2017. Selection and placement of applicants can be made purely on the basis of marks secured by him /her in the Entrance Test. Rank list will be published on the basis of the result of Entrance Test both category -wise and subject-wise.

All India Ranking has been declared based on the Score of the NEET Entrance Exam. The qualifying score has been based on self declared Category by the applicants. Designated Admission authorities will be responsible to ascertain the Category of the candidate from their valid original documents at the time of admission.
The Inter-Se-Merit of applicants for Tie-Breaking
 In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the entrance test, the inter-se-merit of such applicants, shall be determined in order of preference as follows
1. Applicants obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test.
2. Applicants obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test.
3. Applicants with less number of attempted wrong answers in all the subjects in the Test.
4. Applicants older in age to be preferred

NEET 2017 Cutoff / Qualifying marks

The cutoff marks or Merit list are very important for each appearing students. The applicants can get an idea of minimum marks required for qualification of the exam by knowledge of the cutoff marks. The cutoff will be on the basis of number of applicants and complexity of this exam. The exam will be conducted 720 marks in 3 hours duration.

About NEET :

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test also called as NEET (UG / PG) is a National entrance exam in India, which is organized for applicants who wish to study and Graduate Medical course (MBBS / BDS) or Post Graduate Medical courses (MD / MS) in Government or Private medical colleges in India. NEET-UG for Graduate medical courses, are conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPPMT) in 2016 and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves, however many colleges  and institutes had taken a stay order and conducted private examinations for admission to this MBBS, BDS courses.

How to Get NEET Result

All the qualified Applicants are also required to take a printout of the score card. Finally submitted in counseling, score card will not sent by post and email. 2. Enter the Roll Number and Date of Birth
3. After clicking on the "Submit" button
4.  Entry's are correct result along with marks, rank will be displayed.

Applicants Score Cards will not be sent by post or e-mail to the Applicants.
The applicnats should have passed the qualifying exam with minimum percentage of marks and secured a rank in NEET 2017 conduct for the academic year 2017 concerned for admission into UG medical courses.
The CBSE will display the images of OMR Answer Sheets and Responses graded by the Machine of all the Applicants on the official website . The OMR answer sheets are likely to be displayed in the month May. Applicants will be given an opportunity to submit representation against the OMR grading on payment of Rs.1000/- per response challenged. Rs.1000/- per response will be refunded to Applicants if his/her challenge is accepted by the Board.
There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Counselling Authorities/Admitting Institutes.
 The counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the MCC/DGHS. The Counselling for admission in seats under the control of other States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the  authorities concerned.
